FINITO Ready-to-use filling mass
FINITO mass is used for application of top finishes upon walls and ceilings indoors.
Place of use: walls and ceilings indoors.
Types of substrate: cement -lime, cement plasters; gypsum plasters; concrete; plasterboards.
Top coats type: paint coats, wallpapers
Average consumption is approx. 1.0 kg of mass/ 1 m². The actual consumption depends on substrate texture and absorptiveness, quality of substrate preparation, expected decorative effect, technique of application, user’s experience, number of coats.
FINITO mass is manufactured on the basis of polymer binders, mineral fillers and modifiers.
Snow-white, ready-to-use, optimum hardness, flexible and resistant to cracking, high bonding to the substrate, for manual and machine application.
The substrate should be:
clean – dedusted and cleaned of any layers which would impair the top coat bonding, in particular of dirt, dust, lime, oils, wax, grease, residues of paints and anti-adhesion agents,
with PRIMER agent – in case of excessive substrate absorptiveness,
with CONTACT COAT – substrates of poor absorptiveness or smooth surfaces (e.g. concrete ceilings and walls).
The product is delivered ready to use. It must not be mixed with other materials. If necessary, mix before use. In case of manual application leave the mass for 2 hours since mixing. In case of machine application use the mass just after mixing.
Top finish application:
The mass is uniformly applied with a smooth stainless steel float firmly pressed towards substrate. Start application from ceilings, apply mass in strips starting from window and moving inwards, move the float towards yourself. Apply mass upon walls with strips, start from floor and move towards ceiling, move the float upwards. Subsequent coat can be applied when the previous one completely hardens.
In case of machine application float the mass with a float, collect excessive material and put back into packaging.
Grinding can commence when finish completely dries.
On commencement of finishing works the top finish surface should be appropriately dry and de-dusted of dust formed during grinding. Painting and wallpapering should be preceded by substrate priming led according to paint or wallpaper manufacturer’s guidelines. If there are no recommendations, one can use PRIMER emulsion. Avoid primer damp patches on the top finish surface (roller/paintbrush should be free of excessive primer). Possible repeated priming can commence when the previous primer coat completely dries.
Density: approx. 1.8 g/cm³
Mass preparation, substrate and ambient temperature during work and mass drying: from +5 °C to +25 °C
Relative air humidity during application and drying: below 70%
Coat thickness: up to 3 mm
Time of drying (coat 1 mm thick, temp. +20°C, humidity 50%): approx. 6 h
The product has been given the Hygienic Attest.
IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
During work protect the material left in a bucket from soiling as it may cause deterioration of its parametres. Unused material left in a bucket should be protected with foil and tightly sealed.
Top finish must not be applied upon surfaces directly exposed to humidity. Do not apply top finish in rooms with relative air humidity exceeding 70% over extended periods of time.
The tools must be cleaned with clean water directly after use.
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. After direct contact with eyes – wash with plenty of water and contact a doctor, Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. If swallowed: Immediately call a doctor, show package or label. Follow the instructions of the Safety Data Sheet.
Keep in tightly sealed original and labeled containers. Keep in dry and cool places, protect against overheating (> 30 °C) and freezing - the product freezes and irreversibly loses its performance in temperature below 0 °C. Protect against direct sunlight. Shelf life in conditions as specified is 12 months from the production date shown on the packaging.
